Herbal Therapy (Chinese herbal medicine)
Chinese Herbs have been the foundation of traditional Chinese Medicine over 5000 years. Ancient Chinese people thoroughly studied and documented vast healing power of Chinese herbs and herbal remedies. We tailor our herbal formula for each individual patient to produce desired effect to treat many different health issues. Custom Chinese herbal formulas can be very effective and surpass most of commonly seen herbs over the counter. We compound each herbal formulas on site. All of our herbs are already extracted into powder. So we can make a customized herbal formula for you. Herbal treatment goes from very short term treatment to very long term treatment depending on what is being treated. One example would be when we treat nasal allergies or chronic sinus infection. We would like to see the result within a few days to control the symptoms. But if we are to treat nasal allergies to be taken care of once for all. It will become a long term treatment to change the nature of your physical constitution. Because, then, we are treating for your optimum health and wellness, something deeper than what is manifesting as a symptoms on the surface. We use Evergreen herbs exclusively for its purity and potency. Their herbs are from Taiwan. They are thoroughly tested both in Taiwan and the United States to achieve the best high quality there is.

Oriental Medicine is the oldest, literate medicine in the world. Practitioners use acupuncture needles to promote the body’s own natural healing power and to improve musculo-skeletal issues and imbalances in internal functioning. It is performed by inserting fine, sterile needles (and sometimes applying heat or electrical stimulation) at certain points on the body that are known to create particular effects. Modern research shows acupuncture leads to the release of various neurotransmitters and hormones that affect most of the body’s systems (central nervous system, digestion, respiratory and cardiovascular systems, etc). The exact mechanism for this is not yet known 100%, however we can see the effects: changes in blood flow, inflammation, pain, digestion, reproductive function, and more. At YOMClinic, we use only sterile, disposable needles. Most people report a feeling of relaxation and well-being during and after the treatment. The World Health Organization recognizes the use of acupuncture in the treatment of a wide range of medical problems, including:
- Digestive disorders: gastritis and hyperacidity, spastic colon, constipation, diarrhea.
- Respiratory disorders: sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, recurrent chest infections.
- Neurological and muscular disorders: headaches, facial tics, neck pain, rib neuritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, various forms of tendinitis, low back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis.
- Urinary, menstrual, and reproductive problems.
Many health insurance plans cover acupuncture. We accept insurance as a method of payment! ( Health / Auto )
